Robert. F. Baur is the Chief Global Economist at Principal Global Investors. Bob directs global economic policy and strategy, oversees and conducts macroeconomic and quantitative research, forecasts economic trends and anticipates market movements and advises the investment staff in making economically sound investment decisions.
He joined The Principal group in 1995. Bob received a Ph.D. in economics and a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Iowa State University. He has also completed post-doctoral study in finance and economics at the University of Minnesota.
